Brown & Co photographed small and large displays and shot wide angles for Best Buy. The preponderance of the photos will end up being used internally, however a few photos found their way to a story on their blog, (link below). I enjoyed working with the PR team to shoot photos liked and needed. We had limited amount of time to get all the photos they needed in the two hours before the store opened. -Ryan B.
This online video training series is for a wonderful group of Nurses, Techs, Physicians and Surgeons. They for a group that when called, respond to a life threatening situations.ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) is a procedure that uses a machine to take over the work of the lungs and sometimes the heart. They are like a SWAT team coming to rescue a child from danger! It’s very technical and needs a large group to respond and work together with great skill and team work.
I was in intensive care at the Saint Paul branch of Children’s Hospital when I was 14. I have Addison’s Disease, it’s adrenal insufficiency. I take meds and that balances me out. Working with the good folks at Children’s Hospital meant the world to me. This is one way I am able to give back to an institution that cared for me at the moment I needed it most. I never really thought about it, but this is the crux of the reason for working with the medical community.
Brown & Company was fortunate enough to record Cray’s blog videos.
And I thought I was a geek…since meeting a few Cray folks, the bar has been set even higher. Super computing is whole different ballgame. It’s bigger, faster and built to handle so much more. Some of the language used could have been from films like The Matrix or going way back… Tron.
I was very excited about the lunar eclipse, I think it’s incredible that the moon turns red when the earth shadows it. I wanted to share my joy of photographing the eclipse with you.
CVMedia sub-contracted Brown & Company to shoot a product video for Guardian Glass. We shot the corporate video in a Crenlo plant in Rochester Minnesota. They make cabs that go on John Deere and Cats and all kinds of other machinery. Next time you see a garbage truck the cab that looks like a bug with two big square eyes… that’s a Crenlo Cab.
This was a two day shoot, so I was able get to know a little about Mike from CVMedia and Matt from Guardian Glass both Detroit based companies. We had fun, both during the shoot and at meals. The shoot went well and I had a chance to use my new camera, what a dream.
Whether it’s a corporate shoot in studio or on location, Brown & Company brings focus and attention to detail. You will find creativity, professionalism & focus every time you work with us.
Consulting for Octane Fitness, they asked us to help them get their in house video production off the ground. Once they purchased the suggested gear, I showed them some of the finer points of video production. Then invited me to go on the road to shoot at one of the finest workout facilities in the country, Athletes Performance Inc. I shot and Directed a set of videos they used for training and a testimonial.
I consulted on the set, lighting directed cameras for an in box DVD production in their new space, it was a blast. Pictured here is me shooting my camera on a Jib or Crane. This is a small one that moves fluidly up down and side to side. It’s a great way to add motion to a camera angle without zooming or working with a dolly. In this case we also needed to shoot behind their Elliptical Trainer to see free weights and cords that attach to the product. In timed intervals the actors stepped off the ellipticals and worked out behind then got back on.
We’ve had a great relationship for so many years and I have had the great honor to get to know many of the staff at Octane Fitness.
Revenue Management Systems contracted Brown & Company to produce a testimonial video featuring Famous Dave’s CEO John Gilbert.
During the filming at Famous Dave’s Headquarters in Minnetonka, John gave us a lot of workable footage. We ended up with several very effective videos. RMS was very pleased with the final product and is using the videos on YouTube as well as their testimonial page.
We produced two videos for NPC Robotics. They needed video for their trade show booth. I really enjoyed working with these guys, they have a level of easy-going professionalism that makes them very approachable.
I also visited the Robotics Alley trade show and visited the NPCs’ both. It’s so nice to see your work in use in a beautiful booth.
As soon as you walk in the robots greet you. I felt like I was in Star Wars for a moment, “These are not the droids you’re looking for”. I am astounded by all the types of robots and uses. They also have grade school teams at all levels building robots to compete in multi stage challenges. I wanted to play with them all and can’t wait till next year.
Video is being used for trade shows in many ways. It’s the best way to pull focus to your both, and to give the casual consumer an approachable way to see what your about with-out having to talk to you. This makes an impact with everyone walking by, and it can lead to questions and inquiries about your product that would have just walked on by. Video should be on your trade show booth list right before catalog and signage.
Canon put this camera out last year and I have waited for the right time to buy.
This Camera can shoot up to 80,000 ISO! Can it see low light better than my eyes? Yes! It uses Canon EOS DSL lenses and smells like a babies head. This new gear is great for Brown & Company. With increased depth of field the background won’t pull focus away from you. This will also give more control more information in shadows and highlights. This Means I can shoot an interview indoors expose for indoor light and still see content out the window under bright day sun conditions.
Straight out of a magazine, this photo shoot was a joy!
Hetherwood Design & Build contracted Brown & Co. to shoot his pride and joy, his newly finished full house remodel. The photos are being used for web and print marketing. I am happy with this shoot, not only was remodel very clean and high-end, but I am happy with lighting in these images. One of the things that make a great interior photo is if the exterior isn’t blown out in the windows. This adds depth and extra flavor to an image, it also adds context.
